- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License
- A valid DOT Medical Card

Chester is located in Delaware County, Pennsylvania with a population of 33,972 residents. The area was once inhabited by the Okehocking Indian tribe, who were displaced from their lands in 1702 by the directive of William Penn, and the region’s original indigenous name was Mecoponaca. The settlement’s history dates back to 1644 when Swedish settlers established it under the name “Upland,” later renamed Chester in 1682. It achieved incorporation as a borough on October 31, 1701, and attained city status on February 14, 1866, making it the oldest city in Pennsylvania.

Chester Fire Fighters – The City of Chester currently owns and operates two fire stations, Station 81 and Station 82. These stations are manned 24 hours a day 7 days a week by a fully paid staff. Prior to the two city owned fire houses there were 5 volunteer fire companies with paid drivers that provided the fire protection services for the city.
