How do I pay drivers?

You do not pay the drivers directly. As part of our client service, Fundamental pays both Flex and Dedicated drivers and handles all benefits and paid time off for Dedicated drivers. We review timesheets, approve and pay drivers weekly.

How do I pay Fundamental?

Our Accounting Department will work with you to set up the method of payment by check, credit card, or ACH.

Do you make sure drivers are DOT compliant?

Yes!  Fundamental screens all driver applicants, reviews the DOT application, and conducts a thorough background check before approving a driver to work. Our Risk Management Department routinely monitors Motor Vehicle Reports and Medical Card expiration dates and keeps all drivers in compliance.

Can I require minimum driving experience?

Yes! We have our own rigorous requirements for drivers. Clients can specify additional or mandate minimum requirements that fit your specific needs.

How do I request drivers?

Once you set up an account with us, reach out to our 24/7/365 Dispatch to fill your run(s) at 1-877-357-7776 ext. 2.

If you’re currently not a client with us, please call us or fill out our form, and we will reach out to you as soon as possible.

What happens if a Fundamental driver requests time off or is out sick?

If you have a Flex driver, your driver manager will identify another qualified Flex driver and dispatch them to you. If you have a Dedicated driver, Fundamental will dispatch a replacement driver; that is included in our service.

Where do you find drivers?

Our driver managers maintain a large roster of CDL A and CDL B drivers. Fundamental’s recruiting department posts driving jobs on our own website and also utilizes popular job boards and social media. Once we receive a driver application, we go through the process of background checks, verifying experience, and road test them. Once the driver is approved by our Risk Management department, they are able to be dispatched to our clients.

How long does it take to get a driver?

It is likely that we can fill your run with a driver currently in our active driver pool. If your business requires a CDL driver with special skills or endorsements, our recruiting team will begin identifying, screening, and onboarding the right truck driver for your operation.

What happens if I have an issue with a driver?

If an issue arises with your dispatched driver, please reach out to Dispatch as soon as possible so we can handle the problem.

What do I do if I no longer need drivers?

If business slows down or if you’re no longer in your peak season, it’s no problem at all. There are no cancellation penalties.  The Fundamental Flex program was created to help our clients cover their volatility without creating a long term obligation. You can change your order for drivers on a daily basis.

Is there an account fee if my company is not currently leasing drivers?

Fundamental does not have any account fees, ever. Once you open an account, you can order drivers as your operation needs them. We are here for our clients, even when you least expect to need a driver.  Many clients sign up for our service so they can quickly access an extra driver when needed.
