Dear Fundamental Drivers,
Happy New Year and welcome to 2022! As Fundamental kicks off 2022, I thought what a great opportunity to acknowledge all of our professional drivers and let you know about a few programs that you may find of interest.
First of all, I would like to extend a warm thank you to all of the drivers in our Fundamental Family for your dedication and professionalism. All of you work tireless hours each day to deliver support to our customers but more importantly deliver the products that we as individuals and families need to run our day to day lives. I know the past two years dealing with the pandemic and the day to day issues that commercial driving presents have not been easy. On top of that each of you have families, friends, and loved ones that require you to be present for them. Not always an easy feat to perform, even for seasoned veterans of the industry. However, through all these demands and stresses, you our Drivers have come through for your family, loved ones, friends, Fundamental, our customers and the American public. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart.
In 2022, Fundamental is continuing to offer some key programs for our Flex Drivers. I will describe them below and I invite you to take advantage of these programs if they make sense for you and your family.
IHA Health provides our Fundamental Flex drivers with Health, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance benefits at an affordable cost. For example, health plans start at $91.00 per week and dental and vision plans start at $6.00 per week. If you would like more information about IHA and the plans offered, you may contact them at 888-376-9811 Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
ATBS supports our Fundamental Flex Drivers with a tax service. ATBS provides a web based interface where the driver can upload receipts and documents to support their expenses, tax filing, and accounting. A personal tax consultant is available too. Packages start at $45.99 per month. If you would like more information about ATBS you may contact them at 866-920-2827 or visit their web page at www.atbs.com.
Fundamental is growing and adding customers and drivers every month. Through our Driver Referral Program, we will pay you to help us add drivers! When the driver you refer is approved for work and completes 5 runs, we pay you $500 and after the next 5 runs, we pay you another $500. You can make $1,000 per referred driver and there is no limit. Fundamental offers a host of benefits for the Fundamental Dedicated Driver. If you are in the dedicated program and want to learn more about the benefits offered please contact the Human Resource Department.

FMCSA Taking First Steps to Implement the Under-21 Apprenticeship Pilot Program
The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) is taking the first steps to implement the Under-21 Apprenticeship Pilot Program that is part of the Infrastructure and Jobs Act. Plans for the apprenticeship program includes two probationary periods and standards for on duty driving time.
